Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in Puy-de-Domme France on 8 August 1976. She was oldest child of four. The parents of Audrey Tautou, both a dental dentist and a teacher, recognized and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for drama and theater at a young stage. The support they provided is more than enough for Audrey to combat her ambition to be a an animal scientist. Her meteoric rise as an actor in the young age was quick and marked by early success. When she finished her education and acting, she appeared on the French talent-spotting TV show Jeunes Premiers which was backed by Canal+. She won the Most Outstanding Young Actress award at Beziers Festival of Young Actors and began her professional career as an actor. Tautou was born into an Catholic family and attended church, even though she went to school in The Institut Catholique de Paris. The modeling and acting careers of Tautou were intertwined. She became the face for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting work, she has an interest in photography. Recently, she exhibited a selection of her photographs in Arles Film Festival. Arles Film Festival with the title Superficial. The focus of her photography is celebrities, fame and the press that scrutinised her following her emergence on the scene with Amelie. There are also a number of photographs featuring her self. Audrey Tautou's global popularity and success exploded following her performance as Amelie Poulain's leading actress in the film Le Fabuleux Destin in the film d'Amelie. Amelie is undoubtedly a huge box office smash internationally and recognized at many awards events around the globe. It's also the biggest French language film to ever be released on the US. Later, in the same year, she was a part of British dramas including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet's The long day of the fiancailles. Then Tautou moved to Hollywood in the United States, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
